About this site
Why CubaRemesas exists
Almost every site on this topic is either a dollar-rate ticker or a generic remittance comparison engine that treats Cuba as one more entry in a list of 150 countries. None of them answers the question that actually matters before sending money: how much will my family really receive, with this specific operator, today?
CubaRemesas is a calculator focused on that single question, plus a handful of practical guides on how the MLC, CUP and remittance system in Cuba works.
We are not a remittance operator and we are not affiliated with any of the ones we mention. When a link to an operator earns us a commission, we say so explicitly on our how we are funded page.
How we keep the data up to date
The informal rate is reviewed manually, cross-checking several public sources — it is never copied automatically from another site. Each operator's fees are verified against that operator's official page; every card in our comparison shows the date of the last review.
If you spot an outdated or incorrect figure, that is real information that helps us fix it faster — you can reach us through this page while we set up a direct channel.
