How we are funded

This site is free to use. It is funded in two ways:

• Advertising through Google AdSense.
• Affiliate commissions: when a link to a remittance operator (for example, Western Union or Remitly) earns us a commission if you use it to send money. The amount you pay is the same with or without our link — the commission is paid by the operator, not by you.

As of this page's date, no operator link on this site is yet an active affiliate link — applications to the relevant programs are in progress. We will update this page as soon as that changes, and we will explicitly mark which links are affiliate links the moment they are.

The operator comparison and the calculator's estimates follow the same criteria whether or not an operator has an affiliate agreement with us — the ranking is based on how much your family receives, not on how much we are paid.
